HELICOPTER CPL COMMERCIAL

HELICOPTER CPL LAW

This course covers Subject No. 16 CPL Air Law  -Helicopter.  The course is very similar to the CPL Law - Aeroplane but includes items that are specific to helicopter operations such as definitions, rules for Helicopter External Load Operations, and CAR Part 135 requirement for helicopter operations over congested areas. We also include specific helicopter practice exam questions.

HELICOPTER CPL PRINCIPLES OF FLIGHT AND AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE

This course covers Subject No. 24 Principles of Flight and Aircraft Performance (H). It follows the

AC 61 -5 syllabus and includes helicopter specific sections such as forces acting on a Helicopter Rotor, power available curve for a typical light piston engine helicopter,  and Helicopter Performance.  There is a huge database of over 800 practice questions.

A person holding a CPL(A), or an ATPL(A) and a PPL (H) issued under Part 61 who wishes to gain a CPL(H), is required to gain a pass in the written examination subjects CPL General Aircraft Technical Knowledge (Helicopter) and CPL Principles of Flight and Aircraft Performance (Helicopter). 

HELICOPTER CPL GENERAL AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

This course covers General Aircraft Technical Knowledge and Subject No. 28 General Aircraft Technical Knowledge (Helicopter). Section 1 of General Aircraft Technical Knowledge is common to both Subject 26 (Aeroplane) and Subject 28 (Helicopter). We add section 2  Helicopter Technical Knowledge to this course which includes Helicopter Structure and Systems, Tail Rotor Systems, and Helicopter Weight and Balance.

A person holding a CPL(A), or an ATPL(A) and a PPL (H) issued under Part 61 who wishes to gain a CPL(H), is required to gain a pass in the written examination subjects CPL General Aircraft Technical Knowledge (Helicopter) and CPL Principles of Flight and Aircraft Performance (Helicopter). 

HELICOPTER CPL METEOROLOGY

This theory course covers the AC 61 Subject No 20 - CPL Meteorology syllabus for New Zealand pilots. This Subject applies to both Aerplanes and Helicopters. Sections include Temperature and Heat Exchange, Atmospheric Stability, and Tropical Meteorology.

Each section of the syllabus can be reviewed in any order - no requirement to complete parts of the course or finish exams before you can move on. All Sections have practice questions that provide instant feedback and we have Sample Test papers that you can practice. You are expected to have the PPL Knowledge prior to sitting this exam.

HELICOPTER CPL NAVIGATION

This theory course covers the AC 61 Subject 18 - CPL Flight Navigation syllabus for New Zealand pilots.

It applies to both aeroplanes and helicopters.

Sections include Position Referencing, Chart Reading, and VFR Flight Navigation. Each section of the syllabus can be reviewed in any order - no requirement to complete parts of the course or finish exams before you can move on. HELICOPTER CPL HUMAN FACTORS

This theory course covers the AC 61 Subject No 34 CPL Human Factors syllabus for Aeroplane and Helicopter pilots.

 

Sections include Physiology and the Effects of Flight, Vision and Visual Perception, and Stress Management.
