Commercial Pilot Licence

The Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) for aeroplanes in New Zealand is a professional license that allows you to fly for hire or reward, making it the minimum requirement for most flying jobs. To obtain a CPL, you must first hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), be at least 18 years old, have a Class 1 medical certificate, and meet specific flight experience requirements, including a minimum of 200 hours of total flight time.

Law

This theory course covers the AC 61 Subject 16 - CPL Air Law (Aeroplane and Helicopter) syllabus for New Zealand pilots.. Aspeq Ltd is contracted by the NZ CAA to conduct the examinations. This subject includes Privileges and Limitations,  Documentation and Aircraft Maintenance, and General Operating Requirements (Part 91).
